GLT- from words"glued laminated timber", which means "glued laminated wood" or "glued wood construction." Industrially produced building material from individual softwood boards of different dimensions, which are glued together.

Use of - Bearing and non-bearing structures. Walls, cladding panels and roof. Production, industrial buildings, hangars and residential buildings. Can be combined with for metal, reinforced concrete, masonry or solid stone structures.   The quality of GLT construction parts and panels allows their use in visible places.

GLT is certifiable with  CE marking - EN14080:2013, which meets current construction and building renovation requirements.

Unique sizes: Possibility to make up to 24 meters in length,  thickness/width - from 50 mm to 500 mm, height - from 80 mm to 1500 mm
Dimensional stability: Humidity is 12%, + - 2%. Glued wooden beams do not twist and retain their geometric shape
Lightness: this function facilitates maintenance and assembly / disassembly. The weight of glued laminated timber is about five times less than that of concrete beams

To install and store glued wooden panels, it should be taken into account that the material accumulates water, for example, rain or construction  and can cause a large increase in humidity. In rare cases, this can change the volume of the panel, causing deformation and creating restrictions on joining the panels.
Glued wood panels should be protected from moisture by covering them with a film.

The GLT wood burning process is stable and easy to predict, massive wooden columns, beams and panels have very good fire resistance. Wood chars during combustion and this charring insulates the internal parts from further damage for a considerable period of time. The ember becomes an insulating layer that prevents excessive temperature rise in the unburnt core of the panel. It is this unaffected core that continues to function during the refractory period.


It is designed in such a way that the building's supporting structures guarantee high fire resistance. The glued wooden elements meet all the latest and strictest requirements, thus ensuring the safe evacuation of people during a fire. After conducted studies and tests, in some cases there is a possibility to preserve the load-bearing structures of the building even after a fire.

Let reduce heat energy consumption in the building, it is necessary to ensure low air permeability in the building's boundary structures. It is important to understand that the low air permeability of building structures is not related to "breathing of structures" and room ventilation, but to structural leaks, which can mainly form at the joints of the enclosing structures. The weak point of many energy-efficient projects in Latvia is that the building's air permeability issues have not been resolved.
    The heating of the air entering through various leaks can make up to 40% of the total heat loss. Large uncontrolled air flow also causes drafts, moisture damage to structures and overheating of rooms in summer.
    Therefore, when implementing each project, great attention is paid to this aspect. The glued wood panel helps us to find the best solution because it is ideal for the construction of energy efficient buildings.

Curved elements
High-quality glued timber is characterized by high load capacity, dimensional stability and the ability to form wooden parts in almost any shape. Glulam timber is available in straight and curved forms, opening almost unlimited design freedom in wooden construction.

Curved elements are intended for the construction of garden houses, warehouses.

A full circle consists of two curved elements, nav requires a separate roof structure, because the curved elements form both the wall and the roof part. It is possible to get the frame and roof of the house in a relatively short period of time - we did it in just a couple of hours. No foundations required.
